Teen BBQ Brainstorm: To our teens (12-18) and parents; In an effort to provide our teens with more fellowship and opportunities to grow, we would like to start a local teen club.  We want this to be something you are excited about, so we need your input. What would you like to see, do, grow in? You are invited to attend a BBQ Brainstorm at the Halls on Sunday, August 11 at 12:30pm.  Please bring your ideas and a side, drink or dessert to share. Let's work together to grow this idea into something amazing. The Hall’s address - 245 Griswold Dr Youngstown, OH 44512

  1. Festival Assistance: Each year, many faithful brethren contribute extra funds from their festival tithe so that other needy members can receive the financial assistance they need to attend the Feast of Tabernacles. Their generosity helps hundreds of people attend the Feast who would be unable to attend otherwise. The Church recognizes its responsibility to see that those contributions are distributed fairly and equitably. If you have been faithfully saving your festival tithe, but anticipate that you will not enough funds to attend the Feast this year, we will be happy to help where we can. If you think you will need additional funds, please contact your Festival Advisor or your pastor to get a Festival Assistance Member Information Form. Fill out the form and return it as soon as possible. (All information on the form will be treated as confidential.) The home office has asked us to have all assistance applications turned in by the end of June, so please pick up the form and return it to us as quickly as possible. Again, festival financial assistance is available for those who do not have adequate funds to attend the Feast even though they have faithfully saved their festival tithe, or their income is too limited for them to save adequate funds to attend.
  2. ABC Sampler: Mark your calendars, on the Sabbath of July 27th, we will be hosting an ABC Sampler in North Canton. For all those who would like to attend, there will be sessions presented by ABC instructors before and after services. We are still in the planning stage at this time and more information will be coming.
  3. Portsmouth Women’s Enrichment Weekend: You are invited to gather with a group of women from friendly Southern Ohio for our first Women’s Enrichment Weekend.  We will be focused on friendship as well as showcasing the Appalachian region for lots of fun, fellowship, and food!

When: September 6-8, 2024.

Brochures are available with all of the information in them.  You can also find details on the UCG Women’s Page. A couple things to add: You can get updates for the weekend on our Facebook page- Do a search for Women’s Enrichment Weekend- UCG Portsmouth. If you cannot see it, then send either Monica or Deb Call a friend request in order to get access. The silent auction fundraiser will consist of “Themed Baskets” patterned off of the Indianapolis WEW.  If you would like to contribute a basket, or items to put in a basket, please contact Sharon Browning at the email in the brochure. Hope to see many of you there!
