A United Church of God Feast of Tabernacles site

Update: July 24, 2018

Public

Greetings,

Feast preparations are going well for our Panama City Beach, Florida Feast site. Many of our attendees have been to Panama City Beach for the Feast but some of you might be new. Most stay at the Edgewater facility (in condos and villas), since they can walk to services or be transported to the convention center by trams. The Panama City Beach Feast site at Edgewater is more of a family Feast site.

The condos are next to the beach; they afford a great view of the Gulf. The water is usually clear and very inviting to enter. I always caution our brethren to be careful when red flags are flying on the beach, which warn us not to enter the water. (Often, people ignore these warnings.) The red flags indicate rough waters. An ocean undertow can create trouble for well-meaning swimmers and begin to take them out to sea. You cannot see an undertow; you can feel it. An undertow can cause the swimmer to panic and try to swim against it, back to the shore, rather than swimming to the side to escape its great pulling power.

We will have a Feast brochure which provides information regarding our services, amenities, and helpful instructions about the water. Every word in that brochure is there for your benefit, to help you to enjoy a great Feast. Please be sure to pick one up for your family at the beginning of the Feast and take the time to read it.

Here's hoping that your Feast preparation is going well for our very positive Feast of Tabernacles that focuses our attention on God's great promises of peace and prosperity that's coming to this earth. Remember that we keep this Feast for others (and ourselves) who are promised their wonderful day of salvation! May this Feast truly be your best Feast ever.

All the best,

Jerold Aust
