×After much careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the Oceanside, California Feast site for 2020.
You can change your registration to an open site by following the instructions here: https://www.ucg.org/members/news/changing-feast-plans. We apologize for any inconvenience and pray that you have a wonderful Feast of Tabernacles this year wherever you will be.
Oceanside
This will be the seventh consecutive year for the United Church of God to host the Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day Festivals in Oceanside, California, and the local community is thrilled to welcome our return. We are expecting around 500-600 attendees, which offers all the opportunities of a larger festival site, but also grants the intimacy of getting acquainted with one another. Most importantly, our main purpose for assembling is to worship God, learn more about His marvelous plan of salvation, and fellowship with like-minded and like-hearted fellow believers. With this focus in mind, we will have spiritually focused education venues for every age along with special seminars in the afternoon and a night-time hymn-sing and Bible study.
Please be aware for planning purposes: There is no opening night service. We will have two 90-minute services during the daylight portion of the first Holy Day at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
We will be meeting at the QLN Conference Center, modern and bright, yet intimate one-story (no stairs inside or outside) facility. This is located about four miles inland. It is no further than 10-15 minutes from any location in Oceanside or Carlsbad. It can be reached by light rail from downtown Oceanside. We strive to have a wide range of accommodations that make this Feast site financially feasible to all.
Oceanside is a casual beach community with bike trails, a historic wooden pier and a harbor village offering a variety of family-friendly activities. Right next door is the charming beachside community of Carlsbad. The weather should be in the mid-70’s to low 80’s, which is just right to enjoy swimming, fishing or sailing. Likewise, the amiable weather allows enjoyment of the unlimited outdoor recreation, Legoland, Old Town San Diego, San Diego Zoo & Safari Park, Sea World, Balboa Park, USS Midway Museum and many other visitor attractions that are 15-45 minutes away. Travel 50 minutes to the northeast and you enter the sun-kissed wine country vineyards of Temecula.
The California Welcome Center in Oceanside offers discount tickets to the major attractions and the volunteers are happy to offer suggestions on where to go and how to enjoy your time in Oceanside and San Diego county. To learn more about this location, please go to www.visitoceanside.org.
