Good afternoon.

Let me bring you up to date on what is happening with the Feast site in Daytona.

Some have inquired about the current situation in Florida regarding the oft-reported COVID situation.   While there are a number of cases being reported, there are currently no COVID restrictions in place at the Ocean Center or in the Daytona area.  The beach, restaurants, and all attractions are open and operating at full capacity, and there is no indication today that things will be changing soon.

But, we are aware of and monitoring the situation and are not taking this matter lightly.  To serve the needs of some who have inquired, we do have the capacity at the Ocean Center, and do plan to offer a separate meeting room for those who prefer to wear masks.

We have a full schedule of activities that are being planned for Daytona this year, in addition to daily services and Teen, Young Adult, and General Bible Studies.  Family Day at the Daytona Lagoon, a Seniors Lunch, a Family Dance, and activities for young adults are being scheduled.

Regarding the Family Day, we are selling tickets in advance to the Daytona Lagoon, as we will have exclusive use of the water and entertainment park on the afternoon of September 23.   You can purchase your tickets now, and we would appreciate your doing so, at feast.ucg.org.   Go to the Daytona Feast site page, click on “Posts” and you will see the Post labeled “Purchase Family Day Tickets Here.”

We do plan to have a Children’s Choir this year, but parents will need to work with their youngsters and have them prepared to sing when they come to the Feast.  Several weeks ago, the Children’s Choir selections were released by the Home Office.  You can find those selections at the following link:

For those still seeking housing and prefer a hotel location, the Comfort Inn and Suites and Hampton Inn in Daytona Beach still have availability at the Feast rates, I’m told.  But those rates expire on August 23, so please make your reservations promptly.

We are very much looking forward to being with all of you in the Feast this year in Daytona.

If you have any questions, or anything we can help with, please feel free to contact Doug Wendt, our Assistant Feast Coordinator, or me at any time.
