International Visitors: After two years of COVID restrictions, we’re enthusiastically looking forward to welcoming our international brethren again this year.
The United Church of God has one Feast site in South Africa with an expected local attendance of between 110 to 140 people.
The site is located on the Southern Coast of South Africa in the historical town of Mossel Bay, which is the start on the Cape Town side of what’s known as the ‘Garden Route’ – an area popular with both local and international tourists stretching for about 200km along the east coast to Storms River, and characterized by a beautiful variety of vegetation and scenery.
Our wish is to have everyone staying within walking distance of the central venue, which is the Diaz Hotel and Resort conference facility, where our daily services will be held.
We encourage our international visitors to use the hotel accommodation, with single, double, and family options available, as well as self-catering apartments, which are great for small groups, families, or those wishing to do some of their own catering and entertaining.
There are also numerous other self-catering options close by, but please try to ensure that you’re within walking distance of the hotel. Rates for the hotel can be found under "Housing Information" tab.
With the proximity of shops and facilities, and the availability of very affordable taxi services, having your own transport is not a necessity. Just be aware though that Uber does not operate in Mossel Bay.
Because the Feast begins on a Sunday evening (9 October), a good number of people will arrive in Mossel Bay on the Friday (7th). So we’re planning to hold a Sabbath service on Oct. 8. Details will be provided.
International visitors can either fly into Cape Town or O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, and then catch a connecting flight to George domestic airport (only 39km, or 24 miles, from the Diaz Hotel; or fly into Cape Town and enjoy a beautifully scenic drive of about five hours to Mossel Bay.
Free time during, before and after the Feast, can be spent relaxing or touring, with exceptional opportunities provided. https://www.visitmosselbay.co.za/ gives you more information on many of these activities.

There is no registration fee for this Feast site, but a donation towards Feast assistance and administration would be greatly appreciated. This can be paid in cash at the Feast.
