NEW UPDATE: Online registration for Panama City Beach begins at 12 p.m EDT on Sunday, May 8th, 2022.

Condo pricing in the printed Festival Housing Brochure and what has previously been online has changed.  We apologize for this situation, but after a couple of weeks of negotiations, it has been determined to accept some of the increases and let the members decide where to find housing.  This means members are not required to use Edgewater Beach Resort, but in most cases the overall costs are comparable to most pricing in the area. The daily rates for condos remain the same. 

Here are the increases:

• Daily Resort Fee of 9% based on the nightly rent.  (For example if the condo costs $100 per night, the resort fee would make the nightly rate $109.00)
• Onetime per unit checkout cleaning fee: $110.00 (one bedroom), $135.00 (two bedroom), $155.00 (three bedroom).”
• Other fees which are not new, but mentioned here as a reminder: Onetime $25 parking fee and $5/person wristband fee.

Services are held each day at the Edgewater Beach Resort. Edgewater offers one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums overlooking the beach and pools. Those staying in the condos can either ride a tram or walk to services via a private bridge that crosses over the road. One, two and three bedroom golf villas are also available for those who prefer to stay closer to the convention center. All suites and villas come with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. 

Edgewater’s gated community provides 11 swimming pools (10 of which are heated), children’s splash pad, 10 tennis courts, 10 shuffleboard courts, five pickleball courts, a golf course, four hot tubs, gift shop, free wi-fi, a Starbucks and a full-service restaurant, Oceans. In addition, Edgewater Beach Resort now has their own app! Search “Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort” in your favorite app store. 

The long-term success of this site depends on members using the housing listed in the Festival Planning Brochure, which can lower the cost of the convention center. Alternative housing is also available only a short drive to the Edgewater Beach Resort. 

There is an abundance of dining and shopping in all price ranges in and around the Panama City Beach area. There is a wide variety of family-oriented entertainment such as miniature golf, scooter rentals, jet-skis, fishing and parasailing.

Panama City Beach’s early and general housing request dates for 2022 are: May 9 (early, for special needs) and May 11 (general or major requests). Please note that both the early and general housing dates for Panama City Beach are later than most U.S. Feast sites. 

Taxes: Room tax is 13.12% at Edgewater. Sales tax is 8%.
