Klamath Falls 2024 - Feast of Tabernacles Reminders (10/11)
Greetings all!
As we come into the final hours before sundown beginning the Day of Atonement, I wanted to wish all of you a very meaningful and enriching Atonement. This Feast of Tabernacles related email reminder is not intended to take away from it in anyway--but because of the Friday night delivery system that our website uses, it is unavoidable.
We will be gathering together in just a few short days at the Feast in Klamath Falls, and as such - there are few final reminders that I want to ensure we get out to all of you before we gather together on Opening Night.
Main Hall and Overflow Hall: We currently have 428 people registered for the Feast in Klamath Falls. From the initial planning for our layout for the main hall, we're capable of seating right around 300, perhaps just a few more in the main space. Which means close to 100-125 or so will be in the Juniper Room overflow on a regular basis. The overflow hall is not connected to the main hall, it is across the parking lot a short distance away. For services - please come in and claim your seats before taking the time to fellowship. When you claim those seats, please place an item on the seat surface that shows it will be occupied, and our usher's will be keeping track of the available seats. When the hall is full - we'll need to put a sign out on the road that directs people to the overflow hall, so all of this happening smoothly is important. Your help is appreciated. When it comes to saving seats for your family, we're going to ask that you please save only the number of seats that your family needs rather than saving additional seats, or blocking out the entire row to give a little more room. Thank you for your understanding.
Meal and Activity Signups: A number of our activities have hard and fast registration needs due to our needing to provide as close to realistic numbers to catering some time prior to the event. There is always a need to guess at some overrun, and we will certainly do so, but the closer those numbers can get, the better. The passed on cost of the events are a fraction of the actual cost, so we don't want to have a significant amount of overrun that doesn't get used. Please take a moment in the coming days and register using the following link if you have not done so already.

You can register more than one person at a time and pay for all using this link. When you finish registering the first person, it will ask you whether you want to add another person. You can do that with each of the people attending the Feast with you, and then submit and pay everything up front. This helps immensely with planning. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Hall Setup: This is just another reminder that we will begin hall setup at 8:00AM on Wednesday, October 16th, and will likely be working most of the morning into the early afternoon getting everything up and running for the Feast. If you're available and would like to help, it would be appreciated. Many hands make light work. We have a few folks who have volunteered to help beautify the stage, which we greatly appreciate. Plan to arrive in the early afternoon to work on the decorations for the stage space if you're interested in assisting on that front.
Choir Practice: Just a reminder that there will be a choir practice in the 3rd floor conference room of the Running Y Lodge from 1-3PM on Wednesday, October 16th. If you have any questions, please contact our Choir Director, Andy McClain.
Food Drive: We will be having a food drive that will benefit the Klamath Lake County Food Bank. We'll have a need for some Young Adult volunteers to assist manning this before and after services. You can contact Jennifer Martin if you're interested in helping.
Festival Youth Instruction: We will be having Festival Youth Instruction classes for grades K-2, and grades 3-6. If you are interested in volunteering to assist during these classes, please reach out to Brenda Wubben.
Greeters: We are in need of additional volunteers to cover the greeting duties throughout the Feast. Please reach out to Carl Kinsella if you're interested in serving in this capacity.
I think that covers the last of it the reminders before the Feast.
We would appreciate everyone's continuing prayers for those travelling to the Feast, for the health and protection of the attendees, and for God's presence to be powerfully among us at His Feast. It's such a beautiful time of year, and a time that we look forward to each year in order to come before our God and worship Him, reflecting on the Plan which He has provided His people.
You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has blessed you, then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses. And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
Deuteronomy 14:23-26 | NKJV
I hope you have an meaningful and enriching Day of Atonement, and look forward to rejoicing with all of you in Klamath Falls!
