2015 Feast of Tabernacles Report

Crown Point, Tobago

The serene and beautiful island of Tobago was the perfect setting for 40 attendees to enjoy the Feast of Tabernacles in Trinidad and Tobago. Brethren came from the U.S., Australia and Suriname to join Trinidad and Tobago members in a joyful celebration of the Kingdom to come. Most brethren stayed at the Crown Point Beach Resort and were able to spend many hours of fellowship in a family atmosphere.

The annual tradition of Trinbago night, hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago congregation, was held again this year. This is an evening of feasting on local food and drink with music and dancing. It is always a favorite of visitors at this Feast site, and this year was no different. Family day at Canoe Beach was another highlight, where everyone enjoyed a light-hearted contest of tug-of-war, as well as other games and fellowship. Additional activities included a bus tour around the island and a boat trip to the famous Buccoo Reef. Many gathered at the ocean’s edge in the evening to enjoy the brilliant sunsets so common in Tobago. Feeding the fish on the reef just outside the hotel was also a favorite pastime, as the clear water afforded an amazing view of the varied sizes and colors of reef fish.

Messages and special music were very inspiring, and so was the fellowship. After eight days spent together, this small group left feeling more like family than before.
