It was a very special Feast this year for two Brazilian members, one from Maloca de Moscou (Aldair Mateus da Silva) and the other from Nova Granada, São Paulo (Adilson Souza Gonçalves), who were baptized. This makes up a total of three Brazilian members baptized this calendar year.

There were many inspirational messages of the plan of God and the events leading up to the return of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. One memorable and sobering sermon was given on the Eight Day on the subject of judgment. Some of the important points mentioned were: judgment has started now on God’s Church; either we become right in our ways of living now or not because our time is now; the outcome of judgment is for eternity and man’s judgment is not as just as God’s.

Activities included a children’s party, teen party and a ladies’ afternoon tea. Josiane Chaves gave a demonstration of how to make and decorate sugar cut-out cookies. The ladies then had the opportunity to make their cookies and decorate them. She also demonstrated how to make a layered tort cake, which the teens iced and decorated.

The Feast ended all too quickly! Although we encountered many physical challenges and obstacles, God was there to guide us through them. Next year we will, God willing, have an additional site in southern Brazil, near Rio de Janeiro.
