2020 Feast of Tabernacles
Lusaka, Zambia
The Feast of Tabernacles was held after a health certificate was issued by the Public Health Department due to COVID-19. A certificate and permission was granted following an inspection by authorized officers from the Public Health Department. Church members arrived at the Verino Feast Site on Oct. 2, and services began the following day with a virtual address from Victor Kubik, who spoke of the great meaning the Feast holds.
This Feast site was attended by 162 people. Members came from all 10 congregations around Zambia. Some of the activities that we had were family day, women’s day, youth day and a seniors’ lunch. Although it looked a bit strange as we tried to follow the health guidelines due to COVID-19, it was an exciting time and many people were very happy. People washed their hands with soap and used hand sanitizer.
We would like to thank the home office and other donors who made our Feast a success. It is our prayer that God blesses them for their giving heart to the less privileged. The Feast ended on the evening of the Eighth Day/Last Great Day, and the next day all the members departed to their various homes. The Feast was incident-free. We thank God for His protection during the Festival.
