2020 Feast of Tabernacles
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Sermons, sermonettes, a Bible study and special music all tied in the theme of Habakkuk 2:14, inspiring our vision of God’s glory and His powerful plan of salvation. We were also reminded of our Christian responsibility to be examples reflecting His glory.
The Hilton Rose Hall Resort, one of the few hotels currently open in Jamaica, was operating at 25 percent capacity. In this millennial setting, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises, walks on the beach and golf course, and opportunities to relax by the beautiful, blue Caribbean Sea. We had time with our families and the brethren that was even more special due to various COVID-19 restrictions and curfews meaning smaller groups.
Highlights included a baptism, ladies’ mingle, widows’ tea, games afternoon (Ludo, dominoes and Bingo), pre-teen Bible activity, panel seminar (“Doing Business God’s Way”), teen Bible study, one day pass (for Jamaican brethren to enjoy meals and activities on the hotel property), a “best ball” golfing afternoon on the challenging Cinnamon Hill course and a buffet lunch together on the Eighth Day between services. The Hilton staff warmly welcomed us back for our fourth year, thankful for the occupancy, business and the opportunity to serve us.
