2020 Feast of Tabernacles
Mufulira, Zambia
Food prepared by our kitchen staff was enjoyable, as was the spiritual food proclaimed by a variety of speakers with one common theme: “Thy Kingdom come.” The kids were divided into three groups according to their age and had their own teachers and classes during the Feast.
As in the case of a growing child, changes are part of the process. In our case, the Church here is growing and a lot of facilities are needed as we grow. However, we are very grateful to the sponsors and for the new items we received at our Feast site, including additional huge water tanks to help end the water shortages, new mattresses and new tents. The bringing of mineral water to our members helped us by preventing stomach problems and other unnecessary illnesses due to the water contaminants.
The 2020 Feast of Tabernacles was the most successful Feast we’ve seen. We had a large group of people coming together at one place with one spirit who showed love in everything they did—whether special music or recreational activities. Calmness and brotherly love were exhibited in the days we spent together. This is a time when people come to learn God’s Word and picture the coming Kingdom of God, knowing that someday we will reign with Christ.
We thank all of our hardworking leaders: the deacons, the minister and all those who took part in ensuring that this Feast was a success! And not forgetting those who supported us financially and in prayers: may the good Lord bless you.
