Atlanta Singles Weekend and Family Dance 2016

The Singles Weekend theme is Building Relationships that Last: God, Friends, and More. The Family Dance is entitled The Atlanta Spring Spectacular. Singles activities will include three interactive seminars and a Sunday get together at the Georgia Aquarium. A Family Dance will be held between these two activities and is open to those of all ages in addition to the singles visiting our area.     I have been to a few singles events and they are amazing opportunities to meet people of like mind. I know some people have reservations feeling they can be "meat markets", but I did not find that at all! I hope all goes well for your event!

    Hi Nadine S.,
    Thank you for giving your support for this singles and family event. The Atlanta and Buford congregations chose to offer weekend so singles in the Church could meet, get acquainted, dance, and consider--in depth--how God looks at relationships. Although it sounds like you will not make it, I encourage you to make others aware of it. The more who attend, the better.

    That's good to know because that's exactly what happened at the old church I used to go to and they shut down that entire ministry for that reason. Being such a loner, I would love to meet some like minded female friends to hang out with sometimes.

    I guess I missed out on this one being new to UCG. When will there be another singles event? I feel like a fish out of water sometimes being around mostly couples at church, haha. While I love having all the great examples around me, I tens to feel weird socializing at times. I have tried to get people I know to visit with me but its hard when so many people would rather do other things on Saturday.
