Thirty-six campers enjoyed a very successful preteen camp in the Piney Woods of East Texas. We appreciate the help of imported adult and teen staff, along with many of the local East Texas brethren. They all went above and beyond and helped us enjoy the many different types of activities at camp. The water activities (swimming, fishing, dunking booth, slip’n’slide and water balloon fight) topped the list of favorites. Other activities included woodwork, baking, field day, dodgeball and gaga-ball.

Our theme for the camp followed the teen camp theme taken from Matthew 5:48: “Be Like Our Heavenly Father.” Our compass checks and our activities were based on this verse. Parents were on hand to see the end of camp awards ceremony, where each camper was presented a certificate of award. The campers also sang two music pieces: “God Is Our Light” and “You Are a Kind and Merciful Father.” Thanks to everyone for your prayers, and thanks to our Heavenly Father for his divine oversight.
