Camp Report
Camp Ghana
The 2014 edition of the Ghana camp, which was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School in Accra, hosted 19 campers and 11 staff. The campers (including 10 from Togo) and staff enjoyed edifying interaction. The theme for this year’s camp was “Remember Your Creator in the Days of Your Youth.” Campers and staff were all admonished to seek our Creator on a daily basis.
With heavy rains a week before camp and just days after camp, it was the time of year when it could have rained during camp, but it did not. The weather, a blessing throughout the camp period, was the best we could hope for: cold (by tropical standards) in the early morning and at night; and often bright and sunny during the day.
Morning quiet times sought to encourage Bible study habits among the campers and having a more intimate personal relationship with God. In addition, we had Christian living classes in the evenings that were all tailored towards seeking God on a daily basis.
An injury-free, refreshing camp of Christian fellowship through the activities of archery, leather craft, basketry, cycling, team challenge, volley and basketball was a manifestation of God’s abundant blessing on us.
