Charity Concert Raises More Than 14,000
The night of October 11, 2011, was a “win-win-win” serving opportunity, as Frank McCrady, festival coordinator of the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, site, would say. In the setting of the beautiful and spacious downtown convention center, the Myers brothers (Steve, John and Skip) presented a two hour concert, raising their voices in honor of God while attendees could donate if they wanted to in order to raise money for brethren worldwide.
Serving is a strong Christian desire, and donating to the Good Works Program is a special way in which Church brethren can help other brothers and sisters in Christ around the world. Those who attended the concert gave at total of $14,155.89 in both free-will donations as well as in sales of Myers brothers CDs, which were available for purchase.
The night was a win-win-win because praises were given to the great God in beautiful harmonies, brethren were brought together and able to purchase special Sabbath music, and international Church members will receive special assistance from the Good Works Program.
