Extensive Print Advertising Campaign Proves Productive
Sunday newspaper coupon ads reached over 122 million U.S. households
[APRIL 14, 2021] Throughout the 2020-2021 fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021) the United Church of God conducted an extensive print advertising campaign involving the testing and rollout of several Sunday newspaper supplement “free standing insert” coupon ads. These reached well over 122 million households in thousands of cities and towns across the United States. The ads, each of which cost a fraction of a cent, featured a free subscription to Beyond Today magazine and a Bible study aid—including one of the following:
- Are We Living in the Time of the End?
- Heaven and Hell: What Does the Bible Really Teach?
- How to Understand the Bible
- Seven Prophetic Signs Before Jesus Returns
- The United States and Britain in Bible Prophecy
- You Can Understand Bible Prophecy
We are pleased to inform you the outcome of this sweeping advertising effort proved very successful. Not only were people given the opportunity to learn about the truth of God but many reacted positively. More than 8,300 responses have been received and processed at the home office, with more arriving and being handled each day.
