Recent Ordinations

We’re happy to announce that two new elders were ordained on the Day of Pentecost, June 16, 2024.

Marco Lecea was ordained into the ministry. He serves the congregation in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Howard Marchbanks was ordained into the ministry. He and his wife, Tina, serve the congregation in Orange County, California.

Pastoral Changes

Roc Corbett, pastor of the congregations in Olympia and Tacoma, Washington, will retire from the employed ministry on Aug. 17. Mr. Corbett has been an elder for 27 years and served in pastoral roles for the past 13 years. He will continue to serve as an elder for the congregation in Tacoma. We are very grateful for Mr. Corbett’s dedication and hard work during his tenure as pastor and appreciate his ongoing service as an elder in the ministry of Jesus Christ.

After Roc Corbett’s retirement, Ken Loucks will become the pastor of the Olympia and Tacoma congregations.

Seattle Young Adult Weekend—Aug. 9–11

Hello, young adults! We are pleased to invite you to our fourth young adult weekend in the Seattle area. Come join a group of like-minded young adults sharing meals, spiritual conversation and fun together in picturesque Cle Elum, Washington. This year, our theme is reconciliation. We’ll be focusing on the various aspects of reconciliation: with God and with each other. How do we build and rebuild our relationships in meaningful ways? The weekend will be a mix of seminars, discussions and activities all located at the Big House Lodge in Cle Elum. There will be both camping and in-house lodging options. For more details and to sign up, visit tinyurl.com/seattleya24. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
