Hurricane Dorian Relief - First Shipment
Thanks to the generosity of our donors we were able to make the first shipment of supplies to the beleaguered nation of the Bahamas. Over 6,000 pounds of supplies were wrapped and loaded on a ship on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Included in this shipment was water, food (rice, beans, crackers, peanut butter, canned goods, freeze dried meals), bleach, flashlights, solar radios, can openers, interior and exterior doors, plugs and wires, shallow water pumps, and more.
Just this week power has been restored to parts of the small nation. We're optimistic that this is the beginning of recovery. Another shipment is already being prepared to send next week so that our members can have the supplies to start rebuilding their damaged homes, and replace their possessions.
