Is it Jesus Christ or the Antichrist?

Will You Know the Difference?

Satan is the master of using counterfeit to deceive the whole world (Revelation 12:9). At the return of Jesus Christ, Revelation 1:7 clearly states: “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

The Devil, through his wicked mortal servants, will pull off the greatest hoax of all time. The prophesies in Scripture show he will successfully cause the whole world to worship a false Christ. The false Christ will masquerade as the returning King of kings and Lord of lords and will declare himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:8). What deceptive tactics will Satan use to keep the world from realizing the true identity of the Antichrist? How can we know who is the true Christ and what should we do?

More chaos and confusion created by the UFO issue

Plans are already afoot to add greater confusion than ever to disguise the true identity of the false messiah. Satan is indeed the god of this world. His deception has been in play since he misled Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (2 Corinthians 4:3-4, 1 John 4:3).
When the true Christ returns, He will descend from the heavens and come with clouds. It says every eye will see Him! Satan knows God's plan. He has been at work in the minds of wicked, deluded men throughout the ages to lay the groundwork for his grand end-time delusion.

Ever since the famous Roswell incident in 1947, which allegedly was a crash of a United States Army-Air Force balloon, many have believed it was instead a crash of an extraterrestrial spacecraft and debris and dead aliens were recovered from the site. There were eyewitnesses who claimed there were alien bodies taken from the crash site. In fact, Roswell Army Air Field personnel and the U.S. Army quickly announced their possession of a "flying disc." It made international headlines, but it was retracted within a day. An extensive report was presented in 1997 by the military, and they insisted it was debris from weather balloons, and the so-called dead aliens were parachute-dummies used in a military test they were conducting.

Any idea of travelers from other solar systems is considered pure science fiction by most people, and it falls into the realm of Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek television series in the 1960s. Captain James T. Kirk’s voyages to the stars captured the imaginations of the young and old, but in the end, it was still just fantasy.

Those who are true believers that the Roswell crash was a space craft not of this earth were unconvinced by the military’s silly efforts to explain away Roswell. Whistleblowers (Navy pilots) have now come forward claiming they have had sightings of strange UFO craft doing maneuvers conventional aircraft cannot do.

Ryan Graves, in an article in Newsweek on August 4, 2023, titled, “I Testified Before Congress on UFOs. What I Told Them Was the Tip of the Iceberg,” wrote: “Two Navy pilots testified under oath to Congress about how unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) pose a potential national security and safety of flight risk last month. I was one of them. My story is this: Nine years ago, my F/A-18's squadron, operating off the coast of Virginia Beach, observed and tracked UAP that had infiltrated military airspace. The UAP had no visible propulsion or lifting surfaces but could remain motionless in Category-4 hurricane winds, accelerate to supersonic, and operate all day, outlasting our fighter jets by 10 hours or more. They even caused near mid-air collisions with our jets, triggering mandatory safety reports.”

The article continues to say: “The majority of UAP witnesses I talk to are commercial pilots at major airlines. Often, they are veterans with decades of flying experience. Pilots are reporting UAP at altitudes that appear to be above them at 40,000 feet, potentially in low earth orbit or in the grey zone below the Karman line, making inexplicable maneuvers, like right hand turns and retrograde orbits, or j-hooks. Sometimes these reports are recurring, with numerous recent sightings north of Hawaii and the North Atlantic.”

Given the congressional investigation into UAPs or UFO sightings and a “60 Minutes” segment on UFOs in May of 2021, it is now fair to say the idea has gone mainstream.

The idea of UFOs or UAPs, as the military refers to them now, has even become a discussion in the Catholic Church. In an article which appeared on May 19, 2021 in American Magazine, “UFOs are back in the news—and Catholics are ready to deal with any theological questions on alien life,” author Charles C. Camosy wrote, “I first met Jesuit Brother Guy Consolmagno, head of the Vatican Observatory and sometimes called ‘the pope’s astronomer,’ after an event on science fiction and theology we did at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture. We ended up talking a lot about aliens. He agreed with me that the Catholic intellectual tradition would have absolutely zero problem with the idea of intelligent life—that is, substances of a rational nature (the classic definition of a ‘person’ in my field) — on other planets.”

Catholic ideas about extraterrestrials

Imagine, the Catholic Church accepting the idea of rational beings on other planets, and they would baptize ET. Some in the Catholic hierarchy have even posited the idea that ET is more moral than us, and they would have to change their teachings. The reality is, the doctrines they teach were never based on the teachings of Jesus Christ! By its own admission, the Catholic Church bases its definition of the articles of faith on its own interpretation of the Scriptures and traditions as explained in the writings of the early church "Fathers"! "And then it was approved by all, that the traditions should be received as of equal authority with the Scriptures" ("History of the Council of Trent," page 145). It is very probable Catholics would readily accept that ET exists.

The article in the American Magazine continues: “There is some chance that these vehicles could be supersecret spy technology from, say, China or Russia that we previously didn’t know about. But in light of documented movements that no other known aircraft can pull off—even when flying into a massive headwind and without having any kind of exhaust plume—the UFO explanation is, remarkably, more likely at this point. (Florida U.S.) Sen. Marco Rubio told “60 Minutes” his colleagues are very interested in getting the report and that the stigma surrounding this issue is starting to fade.”

This is an interesting turn of events. With the uptick of media coverage of the UAP issue, is it possible Satan is preprograming the world to accept the idea of extraterrestrial life? One could argue this has been going on via science fiction movies since the fifties and sixties. If so, is it possible the Antichrist could come on some sort of spacecraft with clouds at a critical time of crisis in the world and fool the masses? Obviously, we don’t know for sure what exactly Satan will do.

The beast, false prophet and Antichrist arise

In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 the apostle Paul states the lawless one or Antichrist comes, “according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception.”

According to Revelation 19:20: “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

By these lying wonders, they will lead the world to all-out war against Jesus Christ at His return: “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:13-14).

This will be the climactic times when the nations of the earth are waging war with each other and all life is in jeopardy of being wiped out of existence. Then the true Christ returns! The apostle John writes: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful” (Revelation 17:12-14).

How can we know who is the true Christ? Antichrist will come speaking lies, and we must hold fast to what has been consistently taught by God’s Church (2 Thessalonians 2:15). God does not change (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8). He said, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:12-13). Stand firm for the truth, no matter what is said by this world’s leaders!

This is my Perspective!
