New Members.ucg.org Site "Looks Awesome"
So far there have been over 7,000 visitors (as of Nov. 28) to the members' Web site since it went live Nov. 1. The first four About Our Father's Business videos have been viewed over 8,500 times.
"We are receiving many positive comments on providing this central resource for Church members," said Internet managing editor Aaron Booth. "We are continually adding new material to the Web site to help it be a valuable resource for Church members. Please check this Web site every week for new videos and updates!"
Each week, President Clyde Kilough creates a new video for the update titled About Our Father's Business. These updates run about 15 minutes, and include news, interviews and supporting graphics like 3-D maps of the U.S. ministerial regions and a virtual tour of the Wind River wilderness in Wyoming, site of a new Challenger II expedition.
Members who do not have high-speed access can download a dial-up version of the video, or listen to the audio version.
Recent editions have included interviews with Larry Greider, Paul Luecke and James Capo regarding camps, Larry Salyer regarding media plans and Jim Franks regarding ministerial conferences.
The first week of December the staff will tape interviews with the senior pastors for several international areas and post them as soon as practical. "You will always find something current and exciting on members.ucg.org as we join together to be about our Father's business," said Larry Salyer, Media and Communications Services operation manager.
