Portland, Oregon, Women’s Retreat Planned for February

Do you need a break from your daily routine? Want to refresh your spirit and deepen your friendships in an atmosphere that feels like a mini Feast of Tabernacles? Please join the women attending the Portland Women’s Retreat on February 24-26 at the Canby Grove Conference Center in Canby, Oregon.

This year’s theme is “Anchors in the Storm,” and presentations will include “Staying Mentally Anchored to the Word of God During the Stormy Trials of Life” by Dyanne Dick, split-sermons by Bob Dick and John Cafourek on the Sabbath, “Calm My Anxious Heart” by Karen Walker, “Dealing With Aging Parents” by Patty Sexton and “Love Languages” by Becky Hornor. In addition, there will be a panel presentation titled “Weathering the Storms Through the Years.”

The always-popular silent auction will be held once again, with proceeds going to the Good Works program. And we will complete a service project to create blankets for disadvantaged children through Project Linus.

Costs are $200 for a single room, $170 for a double and $160 for a triple (bring your friends!), and meals are included. You can get a discount by registering by December 15. Day-only attendance and fees are available, and a bonus day option is offered for those who want to arrive on Thursday. All registrations must be received by January 31.

Please contact Ruby Scruggs at scruggsjr@canby.com for more information and a brochure. We hope to see you there as we enjoy our annual rejuvenating retreat!
