You know how in each Good News magazine there are these little postcard inserts advertising additional church publications? If you’re like me, they never really leave the magazine and never achieve the purpose they were designed for.

With the Feast of Tabernacles approaching, we’ll soon be packing up and travelling to different locations around the world. Sometimes we stop and stay a night or two in different places along the way before reaching our final destination. But what does this have to do with the flimsy little inserts in our church publications?

If we all went through our old Good News magazines and pulled out a handful of those inserts offering free booklets and free magazine subscriptions, we could leave one everywhere we went in our Feast travels. Put one in your hotel room when you leave, the pocket in front of you on the airplane, in your rental car, etc. We could each play a part in potentially connecting someone with God’s truth. An added bonus is that it doesn’t cost the church any extra money—the ads are already printed!

Sometimes we may feel powerless to help preach the gospel, and that we don’t know what more we can do as individuals except to be a light in the world and send in our tithes. So why not try something new this festival season? One of those small postcards may potentially make a big difference in someone’s life.
