In 2019, Good Works helped found the Women's Empowerment Center in Visakhapatnam, India, with the intention of training women in the field of tailoring and embroidery. Despite economic setbacks due to the pandemic, the Center has successfully trained 30 women in:

1. sewing terminology
2. fundamentals of sewing
3. choosing fabric
4. sewing buttons, hooks etc.
5. Straight Stitches, Circular, Kris-Cross
6.  Pattern Making

However, in the early morning of July 31, 2023, a fire broke out in the workshop, quickly devouring equipment and product, devastating the Center. Insurance will cover repairs on the building, but not for any of the equipment. We are raising funds to replace the lost equipment and fabrics.
