2022 Feast of Tabernacles
Bend-Redmond, Oregon
Greetings from sunny central Oregon where 392 Feastgoers met on the first Holy Day to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Redmond, Oregon! The inspiring opening night message from President Shabi was a great way to launch the festival. The messages that followed brought to reality the true connection we all share as a spiritual family as well as God’s glorious plan for mankind.
Special music greatly enhanced our daily services. The festival choir and each individual performance was touching and heartfelt, which put the audience in a positive mindset.
Family day featured activities both inside and out. We had a cornhole tournament, children’s games, bingo and table games inside with various prizes to choose from.
The family fun show showcased the talent and creativity of our members who sang, danced and had everyone laughing through skits and funny songs. Our senior luncheon was a big hit. We met at a nearby restaurant where our brethren came to serve and honor our older members. It clearly exemplified the love brethren have for one another.
A highlight for our teens was the activity at a local indoor trampoline park! Hundreds of bouncy surfaces covered the floors and walls to allow for bounce races, obstacle courses and basketball dunking. The provided pizza gave teens energy to jump some more!
Though our numbers were lower this year compared to some, we still made a big impact on the community by once again donating money and non-perishable items to a local food bank. This provided an opportunity to let our light shine to others during these days, as we will do in the future—a future that we all anticipate.
