“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1). This was very evident at the Rockingham Feast site this year as 80 brethren from various parts of Australia and a few from overseas gathered to celebrate the Feast.

In the weeks leading up to the Feast, we asked for God to inspire His ministry to provide the spiritual food that He wanted us to receive. Our prayers were answered from the beginning.

Rick Shabi’s message on the opening night gave us a focus to “rejoice.” There is much to rejoice about as peace is coming and both physical and spiritual healing are going to take place. It was evident that there was a theme throughout all the messages of peace, service, loving and living God’s way and preparing for the time when the blindfold will be removed for all mankind as their hearts and minds will be opened to the truth. We are being molded, shaped and fashioned to be there with our hands held out to welcome them.

There were ample fellowship opportunities with a meet and greet on the first afternoon, a family game night, a high tea and a visit to a local maze garden. Dan Dowd conducted a Bible Study titled “Historical Events Impacting the True Church,” which covered the period from the time of Christ through to the modern era. The study was followed by a potluck meal. We also enjoyed a catered lunch together on the Eighth Day.

God must have been pleased as He listened to His people speaking often to one another, as stated in Malachi 3:16.

For a Feast site to run smoothly, there is always a lot of preparation that occurs in advance as well as behind the scenes. Thank you to all involved in the preparation. The special music items were thought-provoking and inspiring, and the children enjoyed Feast lessons that had been prepared for them. May we never take for granted the precious gifts that our great God has given us that promise so much: His Feasts!
