Google and Yahoo Advertising Peak Around "Easter"
The United Church of God home office in Cincinnati runs hundreds of keywords in search and content advertising on the Web at both Google and Yahoo on a daily basis. Results bring in thousands of new Good News subscribers and booklet requests every month at a very favorable cost per response.
However, for the month of April, the keywords surrounding the world's Easter celebration were unusually high in response! Internet users found our ads for the booklet Holidays or Holy Days: Does It Matter Which Days We Keep? in keyword searches they initiated as well as in content match results posted alongside news reports and articles related to Easter.
During April, a total of 6.62 million impressions of our Easter-related keywords were posted, resulting in 1,484 new subscribers to The Good News magazine and the same number of booklets on the subject being mailed to the interested Internet users. This represents 29 percent of the total number of Google and Yahoo impressions for all of our many keywords, and 22 percent of our total new subscribers for the month from these two companies.
We're praying that this material will fall on fertile ground as readers receive their copy and begin to read and digest the truth.
Over the years, the higher responses have come from questions people have had about the world's popular holiday celebrations, followed closely by topics on prophecy.
