Northwest Camp
July 24, 2016 - 12:00am EDT to July 31, 2016 - 12:00am EDT
The camp facility, Camp Magruder, resides along one of the most pristine stretches of ocean and beach in the Pacific Northwest. The modern cabins and lodges are surrounded by a dunes-and-forest landscape that includes a wetlands and a freshwater lake.
Dorm Life and Spiritual Activities
Christian living classes illustrate the overall camp theme and will anchor the camp schedule. The theme this year is “Guided by God’s Word” and will include lessons and discussions on how campers should use God’s Word to make decisions every day of their life. The lessons will help us live in the Zone, an atmosphere that reflects the Kingdom of God. Activities during the day will teach practical implementation of the lessons in addition to teaching skills and having fun. The day will end with a campfire session as we watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.
Our goal is to establish a godly atmosphere in which campers can be enriched for a lifetime from their camp experience. The staff is dedicated to providing instruction, mentoring, and friendship to all the campers who attend.
Activities
Several activities will be on the beach including volleyball, boogie boarding, and speedaway. Other activities include lake swimming, waterskiing, archery, pickleball, arts and crafts, dance class, softball, an eight mile kayak trip down the Nehalem River, and an end-of-camp dinner banquet and dance. There will also be ample time for enjoyable fellowship and making new friends.
