As the Feast of Tabernacles approaches, do we have a peace of mind so we can fully consume the messages we will hear? Satan offers plenty of distraction causing us to lose focus ahead of these powerful Holy Days. God wants us to be deeply involved in the Holy Days and rejoice.

Jesus Christ is head of this church and leads it where He wants to go.

Exo. 13:21

How does Jesus Christ lead His church

He leads to the observance of the Fall Holy Days.

Deut. 16:13 → We shall keep a sacred Feast that the Lord chooses.  The Lord will bless you so that you can rejoice.

Christ will choose where we worship and He will bless us so that we can rejoice. His guidance tells us to keep these days.  We need to come to these days with a healthy appetite.  We must prepare for the coming fall Holy Days.

We need to drink in as much as we can.

Psalm 23:1 → David had a powerful insight to whom God was.

God leads the flock as a shepherd.  

“Leads me by still waters”.  He will lead us peacefully.  David recognized that God will restore his soul.  God leads to 

Jesus Christ leads His people to a time of peace and restoration.

Neh 8:1 → Around 42k Israelites are coming out of captivity and Ezra is about to give the Law to the people of God.

All of the people were gathered together in unity.  The ears of the people were attentive to the book of the Law.  They were focused in on received the word of God.    

Psalm 23 could picture us observing God’s Holy Days 7 days a year.  God wants us to be deeply involved in these Holy Days and enthusiastic about them.

Let’s really work on establishing peace in our lives and at church while we prepare for the Holy Days.  We will not have the proper appetite if we are not peaceful.  Jesus Christ wants us to have a peaceful mind.

When we are peace, our mind has a whole new perspective about the Feast.  If we are not at peace, we will be distracted.

Phil. 4:6-7 → Be anxious for nothing.  Don’t let anything worry you.  Take everything before God.

God wants us to be at peace, but He cannot force peace upon us.  We need to pursue all things with peace, but especially His Holy Days.

Col. 3:15 → Let the peace of God rule in our hearts.  It is our calling to do this.

1 Pet. 5:8 → Be sober.  This means to be focused, know what is going on around us.

Satan is causing us to become disgruntled and distracted.

How do we keep from losing focus?

Col. 3:15

Are problems start when we only focus on ourselves instead of serving others.  This is called the give way of life.

Psalm 23:3

John 5:1

When we repent before God and Jesus Christ, it restores us to them.  Once Christ returns, He will restore all things.

Jer. 33:6 → They will bring peace, truth in abundance.

Jer. 3:8-9 

Isa. 51:3 → Satan wants to destroy everything that God has created.
