UYC 2016 Report
Ghana Youth Camp
Most of this year’s 46 vibrant campers and staff travelled various distances from Ghana’s coastal region west of Accra to the calming ambience of the Accra, Ghana, youth camp, which is located at Valley View University. The camp started Sunday, Aug. 14, and ended Sunday, Aug. 21.
The theme “Guided by God’s Word” defined this year, and campers learned about God through an array of buoyant and very engaging activities such as archery, slingshots, beads craft, volleyball, basketball, kickball, cycling, team challenge and a leather craft.
Daily aerobics, compass check and Christian living were quite remarkable opportunities to learn about the importance of physical and particularly, spiritual exercises in our lives.
With split sermons by David Meselebe and Benjamin Agyapong, the Sabbath service was an enabling platform for both campers and staff to focus on always being guided by God’s Word and to bond in godly fellowship.
All of us here at camp are deeply thankful for the ample donations from members in the United States, which facilitated a successful camp.
God’s generous blessings on the Accra, Ghana, youth camp 2016 were abundant in diverse ways and served as excellent reasons for us all to yearn for more youth camps in the future!
