Stop, Look and Listen
Many times over our life we’ve heard the phrase “Stop Look and Listen!”
We usually make decisions pretty quickly in our day to day existence. But what about the moments we have ample time to deliberate and give the matter time to make a good decision, not rushed?
We, as followers of Christ must always have in our minds the following thought. “What would Jesus Christ do? We must keep Christ at the forefront of the process.
Do we fully incorporate the mind of Christ? His mind is like the Father’s.
Do we continue the chain of thought that flows from the Father’s Throne in our decision making?
The phrase Stop, Look and Listen can also help us in our day to day walk as Christians, always being mindful of God’s way at any given moment. By no means is this an easy process. It requires concentration continually as we walk among men that they see our living example of the way man will eventually live once Jesus Christ returns to this earth and puts down ALL things that are not Godly.
The Apostle Peter admonishes us in this way that our minds are to be focused always. 2 Peter 3:2 (NKJV) "That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior".
We must continually keeping our minds on the things brought to us that our thoughts are exactly like Jesus Christ and God the Father.
We must as Christians have the mind of Christ to know and do the things which are pleasing to our Father, but if we do not, then the words that have echoed through time is for us to read and take heed to. 1 Corinthians 11:29 (NKJV) "For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
Are we paying close attention to these words that we Stop, Look and Listen in our day to day walk. Discerning the things that are precious to our Father and His Son Jesus the Christ. Our Father has given us time and opportunity to know His will and way, so let us grasp fully the precious gift we have been given, that we may share with the world in our Christian walk.
