The one sign Christ gave to prove that He was the prophesied Messiah is that He would be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. Many try to find a way to say that this 3 day and 3 night period of time was between Friday afternoon and early Sunday morning. This sermon discusses what Jesus meant when He said "three days and three nights." Several points are made in bringing us to the conclusion that His crucifixion had to be on a Wednesday.
