VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Ushering and Special Services

Additional volunteers are needed to help with Ushering & Special Services duties. Responsibilities may include helping those with special needs from their cars and helping with Auditorium seating.

LADIES WORKSHOP

All Ladies are invited to a "Ladies Only" workshop focused on strengthening connections within families and congregations and addressing some of the challenges we face today.  So much has changed in the past 20 years in media, culture and technology and our tendency can be to pull away from the frustration and confusion that comes from learning new things. We are to be women of beauty and strength so we'll be discussing how we navigate an ever-changing world with wisdom and courage.  Coordinator - Pam Kuver, Cell Phone 210-896-1430

ROUNDTABLE STYLE INTERACTIVE BIBLE DISCUSSION

Friday evening, in lieu of a standard bible study format, we will be hosting an interactive small groups break out discussion.  Topics will be focused on how we can better support and edify one another as a body.  Teens are welcomed and encouraged to join in!

To help parents participate in the discussion, there will be a Sabbath appropriate preteen activity in a room nearby.  Infants and toddlers are welcome to play in the floor near their parents.

BRING GREETING CARDS FOR BRETHREN UNABLE TO ATTEND THE FEAST

You are welcome to bring greeting cards (larger size if possible) to the Feast for brethren you know who are unable to attend this year.

Many brethren appreciate the opportunity to sign these cards to express their concern for fellow members. When you arrive at the Feast, please see an Information Booth team member on where to place your cards.  

Also, please be sure to address the envelopes and bring postage to mail your cards during the Feast.

FRAGRANCE FREE During Church Sponsored Activities
The United Church of God is aware of the increasing sensitivities to allergens and fragrances affecting our members and society in general. For the Feast of Tabernacles it is nearly impossible to offer a completely allergy-free room or even a room that eliminates all fragrances. Therefore, we ask members to refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes during church services and activities so that we all can fellowship, serve and worship together.

HYMNALS

Hymns will be projected onto the screen behind the song leader, but it is recommended that members bring their personal hymnals as well. If you wish to pack lighter and have either a laptop, tablet or smart phone, you may choose to download the UCG hymnal via a Google play app at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ucg.hymnal&hl=en
