In his last day of Unleavened Bread sermon Mr. Smith asked us why are there seven days of Unleavened Bread? In the Bible seven has the meanings of completion or perfection. In Genesis 17:1 God told Abraham to become perfect. But we know Abraham sined. In the New Testament we are also told to go on to perfection (Matt. 5:48, Heb. 6:1). And like Abraham
we all sin (Rom. 3:23). So how are we to accomplish this seemingly impossible task? Mr. Smith shows us what the Bible means by perfection and then shows us how to achieve it. The Passover and days of unleavened bread are important parts of our accomplishing this goal God sets before us.
