Greetings Everyone!

Eighteen years ago today the world was shocked when terrorists flew 2 commercial airliners into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York. A plane was also flown into the Pentagon. Another plane crashed after passengers stormed hijackers after finding out they planned to crash the plan into another building. Altogether almost 3000 people were killed on that day and more than 6000 were injured.

The terror of that day was something that people can’t easily forget. The events made an impression on the minds and hearts of people all over the world. Even today we tell stories about where we were and what we were doing on 9/11.

The book of Revelation describes another terrifying time. There will be a series of events that cause death, injury and terror around the world as God tries to save humanity from ourselves. But all these events are leading up to something:

Matthew 24:29  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Matthew 24:30  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

This will be the greatest event that mankind has ever seen. The return of Christ will make an instant impact on the minds and hearts of everyone who is alive. More so then any other event in human history. It will mean the beginning of a world of peace and prosperity for a thousand years under the direct rule of Christ. It will mean an eternity of happiness and joy for those who become eternal children of God.

During the thousand years after Christ returns those lucky enough to be alive will remember the day when He returned. And when the anniversary of that day comes around year after year there is no doubt that many will say “What were you doing when Christ returned?”

Take care and see you soon!

Doug
