The Grenada Feast site has been canceled.

We are very sad to announce that due to restrictions placed by the government of Grenada, it will not be possible to hold the Feast in Grenada this year.  The final word came this afternoon after discussion with the sales manager for the Royalton Grenada Beach Resort.  According to her, the Royalton is ready, but the Grenadian government is proceeding very cautiously in opening the country to overseas visitors (especially from the U.S. and Canada), and she does not foresee it happening until 2021.
 
Please go ahead and make other arrangements for the Feast of Tabernacles 2020.  In case anyone is interested, the Feast site in Jamaica is still open, and things are progressing well.  Jamaica is already accepting visitors from the U.S. and Canada.  Jeff Lockhart, Stan Braumuller and I all plan to be there this year, and would love to have you join us.  
 
Wherever you decide to attend the Feast, we know you will have a wonderful one.  Once you have decided, please go to feast.ucg.org and change your registration--this will greatly assist the Home Office in their planning.  
 
We are sorry about this, but it is out of our hands.  At this point, we are tentatively planning for a Feast in Grenada in 2021, God willing. May God richly bless you all and keep you safe and healthy.

Come and rejoice with your southern Caribbean family at the Feast in Grenada! This year, the Feast site for the Southern Caribbean will again be on the beautiful island nation of Grenada. Brethren will be attending from the southern Caribbean islands, including Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Trinidad & Tobago. Total expected attendance will be around 120, including room for about 80 transfers from other locations.

Grenada is not called “the Spice Isle” for nothing—in certain areas, you really can smell the nutmeg in the air. Other spices also grow in abundance, including cloves, bay leaf, allspice, ginger and turmeric, to name a few. A variety of tropical fruits, as well as cocoa, is also grown. Grenada is a lush, green, mountainous island, with breathtaking views and waterfalls all around.

The Feast of Tabernacles will be held at the newly remodeled, all-inclusive Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa (grand opening on March 1, 2020). This resort was purchased from Rex Resorts and totally remodeled, taking it from a 3-star to a 4.5 star resort. It is about a five-minute drive from the Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND). Located on two white-sand beaches in Tamarind Bay, the resort offers relaxing ocean views and a host of water sports. As it is the only resort on those beaches, it will seem as if we have it all to ourselves. The resort is also surrounded by several acres of beautiful gardens—a truly millennial setting. Because this will be a smaller site, there will be ample time for extra fellowship and you will have the opportunity to share quality time with the local brethren.

If you prefer a little more action, there are many options. In Grenada, the snorkeling and scuba diving are outstanding—there is a marine park including underwater sculptures. Other activities include hiking, rum distillery/cocoa plantation tours, eco and garden tours, deep sea fishing, etc.

We will most likely arrange a couple of group tours, including a catamaran cruise and an island tour. Details about activities are pending, and will be sent to those who register for this site once available.
