FAMILY DAY PICNIC / MONDAY PM

Our Family Day Picnic will be held on Monday, October 5, starting at 1:30 pm. It will be held at Table Rock State Park, Park Pavilion. The park is not in the city limits of Branson, so the mask ordinance does not apply. Park instructions only ask that we are reminded of the 6-foot social distance recommendations.

This year we are asking everyone to bring their own picnic lunch and beverages. You may wish to bring a picnic blanket as well. At the Pavilion, we will mark the picnic benches for distancing and ask that you are aware of the recommendations. There also are a number of separated picnic tables toward the boat launch area if they are not in use (cannot be reserved).

This is a beautiful outdoor park with lots of room to spread out. There is a volleyball court and large field for yard games. Please bring your favorite yard game with you and invite others to join in the fun!

Table Rock State Park is located south on Hwy 165/265 just across the Table Rock Lake dam.

NO STUFFED ANIMALS THIS YEAR

Thank you for your kindness and participation in past years with this project. Because of the current health concerns, we are not planning to collect and distribute stuffed animals to our children on Family Day. However, we will be handing out special gift bags after services on Family Day for children ages 12 and under. We plan to show a virtual Childrens’ Choir for special music that day.

SENIORS’ LUNCHEON / WEDNESDAY PM

We intend to host a Seniors’ Luncheon on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 7, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 PM. The activity will be similar to past years, yet we want everyone to know that the Lions’ Community Center is not in the city limits of Branson and is not subject to the mask ordinance. Although Taney County does recommend use of masks, some people will not be wearing masks, and of course, it is impossible when we are eating.

For planning purposes, we need to know how many will choose to attend. We have a limit of 175 with spacing for social distancing. You can reserve your space by picking up tickets from the Information Booth on Sunday and Monday. Anyone wishing to donate to help defray the cost of this activity may do so at our "Families Helping Families" donation box also at the Information Table.

The luncheon will take place at the Lions’ Community Center, located on E. Hwy 76 about a mile east of downtown Branson (as shown on the map). Need a ride? Please sign the list at the Information Table. If you can give a ride, check the list and please work out the details.
