2020 Feast of Tabernacles
Taupo, New Zealand
This was the first time in 2020 that the New Zealand brethren were able to all congregate and each day provided welcome opportunity for the brethren to fellowship together—whether the potluck picnic in the park, the dinner cruise or at one of the open home dinners. Dry, unseasonably warm weather was an additional blessing.
With no elders present at the Feast, messages were provided through a combination of live local speakers and international speakers joining the service via Zoom from Australia and the United States. The technology worked well and the brethren enjoyed hearing from a wide variety of speakers—a particular highlight was having Mr. Kubik speak in the morning on the Eighth Day.
In a year where there have been relatively few opportunities to meet together due to lock-down restrictions, even locally for the weekly Sabbath, it was a tremendous blessing to have restrictions eased just in time for the Feast and we were collectively very thankful to God for this.
