In spite of the many prophecies of the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled, the Jews, particularly their leaders, did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. In this Bible study, Mr. Smith looks at the reasons that the Jews came to the point that they wanted to put Jesus to death. When we look closely at the biblical record, we see Satan repeatedly trying to destroy God's plan for the destiny of mankind. All of this reached its climax with the ministry of Jesus. The Jewish leaders, inspired by Satan, and fearful of losing their positions of authority plotted the death of Jesus.

Gary Smith

Gary Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but spent most of his youth in the Pasadena, California area. He graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and he and his wife, Liz, moved to Peoria, Illinois. For the next six years he worked as a nursing home administrator in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
In 1982, he and Liz began to serve in the full-time ministry. Since that time, they have served in a number of congregations in the Midwest.
Gary and Liz now pastor in Houston, Texas near their two children and grandson.
