Mask info and COVID-related items

Hello, friends!

I’m sure people are wondering about restrictions for the Cincinnati Feast site. This post should address all those questions.

We plan to follow all state-issued requirements during our stay at the Holiday Inn. UCG will not be actively-monitoring people for adherence to local protocols, but will defer to the honor system. At this time, masks are being recommended, but are not required. If you have a question about specific requirements, please check Governor Mike DeWine’s website.

If you are sick or become ill during the Feast, for the sake of the congregation please do not come to services in person. Instead, please contact one of the nearby medical facilities and/or an elder for anointing services, and return only if you are no longer contagious. If you are exhibiting COVID symptoms, please notify me and anyone else with whom you recently had close contact.

Regardless of local protocols, you and I have been called out of this world to shine as lights to those around us—to reflect the character of Jesus Christ and to “live peaceably with all men,” as the apostle Paul said in Romans 12:18. In that very same chapter, Paul also said that we are to do the following: “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope…” (Romans 12:10-12). As we meet together, let’s keep that hope at the forefront of our minds!

We are coming together in oneness of mind with the SAME vision, the SAME goal, and the SAME hope of a resurrection to eternal life. We must do what we can to care for the needs of our brethren and make our calling and election sure, as Peter admonished in 2 Peter 1:10-11.

UCG understands that some of you may feel more comfortable wearing a mask even if it is not required, and that is fine! We ask that everyone would please be respectful of one another regarding each individual’s personal decision.

Please take a moment to fill out this brief survey regarding masks, primarily if you intend to wear one during the Feast if it is not a requirement. Only one person per household needs to fill out the survey.

I look forward to meeting many of you, as well as getting the chance to see some of you again who I may have met in the past. I hope you all have a great week and a profitable Sabbath and Feast of Trumpets!
