In light of the difficulties experienced with COVID-19 among our Church members at the present time, and our sincere desire to protect our teenagers, parents, family members and staff, we believe it is prudent to wait until conditions are better in regard to the pandemic. With only about two months until Winter Camp, we are concerned things may not change a whole lot and it is our desire to “play it safe.”

We will certainly plan to resume Winter Camp in December 2022 and, God willing, it will be a reality for us. I am disappointed in having to make this decision (in consultation with the President, the Council and the United Youth Camps director, Steve Nutzman) since I see the great value in these camps for our teens and for UCG, but safety has always been our first priority at camp. Thanks to everyone for your understanding, especially our teenagers and young adults who serve on staff.

We greatly appreciate the excellent job our Winter Camp director, Aaron Creech, did last year. He was very willing to direct camp this year and is also disappointed that this decision needed to be made.
