This is such an important sermon to assist us in our walk with God in the year 2022 and beyond. During the preflood time in the bible the feedlots and feeding grounds for society were sex and violence. That is very much the same in today's society. What do we feed on and where do we feed? We become what our eyes and ears soak up and it becomes part of our mind. Even if we know what our eyes see and our ears hear are not real they still become part of our mind. What we take in makes an imprint on our brains. We may wish that God would just protect us from this world but it is all a part of our learning. We sit in the midst of a mess. It isn't possible to escape all of the ungodliness around us but we can certainly limit it.

Rick Beam

(1950-2024)

Rick Beam was born and grew up in northeast Mississippi. He graduated from Ambassador College Big Sandy, Texas, in 1972, and was ordained into the ministry in 1975. From 1978 until his death in 2024, he pastored congregations in the south, west and midwest. His final pastorate was for the United Church of God congregations in Rome, (Georgia), Gadsden (Alabama) and Chattanooga (Tennessee).
