2022 Feast of Tabernacles
Ocean City, Maryland
The family-oriented vacation resort of Ocean City, Maryland, the largest on the Delmarva Peninsula, was once again the site of the Feast of Tabernacles in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Performing Arts Center, where more than 250 were in attendance, is a beautiful concert hall located within the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, and proved to be the ideal place to gather to worship and glorify God!
We were blessed with inspiring messages that intertwined to give us a glimpse of our future, not only as kings, but also as priests, serving under Christ’s rule during the Millennium, as well as focusing on the great love God has for mankind. On Friday evening, Fred Kellers presented a Bible study focusing on how God intended for marriage to be a blessing.
The third day of the Feast was extremely busy! A teen hospitality was held before services. After services, the teens spent the afternoon together at a local bowling alley, while the seniors gathered for lunch consisting of Caesar salad, chicken artichoke piccata and meatless baked ziti. Later that evening, the young adults and singles gathered around the fire on the beach with snacks and fellowship.
The next day was family day, held at a restaurant/arcade where, after a buffet lunch consisting of chicken marsala and salmon, kids and adults alike enjoyed various arcade games, a 3D virtual ride, virtual golf and a mini-bowling alley. A family dance on Saturday night featured a wide variety of music and two rousing games of musical chairs—one for kids, and another for adults!
On the Eighth Day, between services, nearly 100 shared a meal of pit beef and grilled chicken breast smothered in barbecue sauce—a great meal to wrap up a great Feast! The love and cooperation everyone showed toward one another made the Feast special throughout. It seemed that everyone was working and serving together to make the Feast memorable for all. And indeed, it truly was!
