×For the third time the Rocky Top Sports World will be our meeting location for the Feast of Tabernacles in Gatlinburg, TN. Here you’ll enjoy a family friendly Feast with God’s people in a peaceful, safe environment amid beautiful autumn colors.
The Gatlinburg and surrounding area is one of the most popular vacation and honeymoon locations in the United States. It is also the gateway to the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Here is some additional information to help you plan your Feast.
Services: A service will be conducted each day, plus one or two special seminars and Bible studies.
Dining: You’ll have over a hundred restaurants to choose from in the greater area. You can choose from a wide variety of casual dining options as well as something for a special night out.
Activities: We expect to have a family dance event and a seniors’ luncheon. Also, we would like to organize a few sporting activities if there is sufficient interest (the facility is great for sports). Other activities and events will be announced later on the UCG members website at feast.ucg.org.
The Gatlinburg area offers a unique range of entertainment, arts, shopping and attractions. You can choose live music or theater, dinner shows or dancing. Even walking along the lively main street in Gatlinburg during the afternoon is full of fun and activity. Watch artists and artisans at their easels and pottery wheels throughout the vibrant crafts community in the galleries downtown or on the eight-mile-long crafts loop that begins just outside of town. Numerous activities are also available for the whole family in the nearby Pigeon Forge and Sevierville areas. These include family shows, miniature golf courses, go-kart tracks, shopping and much more.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a large part of why the area has become such a popular holiday destination. It offers 800 square miles of spectacular flora, fauna and outdoor activities. Plus, over 900 miles of hiking trails so you can explore forests and waterfalls while enjoying stunning mountain vistas. The average daily high temperature is 69 degrees and a low of 56 degrees during October.
Parking: The Rocky Top Sports World facility has lots of free, on-site parking available. In addition, the entrance has a large convenient area to drop off and pick up passengers right by the front doors.
