×July 6, 2023 Update
St. George, UT is a definite Feast site for 2023. Sorry for the delayed announcement, but it was due to items beyond our control. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so. Thank you for your patience.
Scenic St. George, Utah and the Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University), Cox Performing Arts Center will host the Feast of Tabernacles 2023. Cox Performing Arts Center seats 1,200 and we expect ample room for social distancing if needed. This is a theater with steps like we have used in Branson, Wisconsin Dells and Hawaii in previous years. The average temperature can be in the low 50s and highs around 82 degrees.
This area of southwestern Utah is called Greater Zion. Greater Zion offers more than 2,400 square miles of adventure and inspiration. Zion National Park, the fourth most visited National Park in the United States, is the premier attraction. The park is distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep, red cliffs accented with massive sandstone cliffs of cream and pink that soar into a brilliant blue sky. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also, along the river, partly through deep chasms, is The Narrows, a popular wading hike.
This family friendly community provides a picturesque setting with snow-capped mountain peaks, red rock canyons and red sand mountains. Zion National Park is the premier attraction, but Zion is only the beginning. Four state parks including Sand Hollow, Gunlock, Quail Creek and Snow Canyon, as well as a multitude of year-round recreational lands set the stage for a burgeoning mountain biking scene, scenic and challenging play at 13 top-rated golf courses and more, plus world-class cultural performances at Tuacahn Center for the Arts. This is a site where you won’t be able to do everything you want during the Feast.
Dining: There are all price ranges of restaurants.
Activities: To discover the attractions in the Greater Zion area, visit greaterzion.com/ or watch a video at youtube.com/watch?v=qYOfGHx3Z0k. Singles and teens will have many options for group activities.
Parking: Nearby street parking should be available since the university will mostly be on break and golf carts will transport attendees from our reserved and designated parking lot, but is also close enough to walk. A Utah Tech University map (including parking) is available at dixiecenter.com/attendees/facility-maps.
Travel: Delta, American and United all fly into St. George regional airport. The Las Vegas airport is about two hours away.
