On Monday (March 27), a 28-year-old from Nashville fatally shot three children and three adults at a private Christian elementary school, leaving behind writings and detailed maps of the school and its security protocols.

Political reactions to this ghastly act differed enormously from the left and the right wing, proving once again that the United States is deeply divided—to the point that many Americans expect escalating violence.
