This message was given in Turkey. The ancient Israelites left Egypt on the road to the Promised Land. They were led by the glory of God in a pillar of cloud and fire. The same glory of God willed the temple during Solomon's dedication. But God's glory left Israel and the Babylonians destroyed the temple. In the eleventh century Christendom invaded Jerusalem trying to find the glory of God. Jesus came to Jerusalem as the glory of God on earth, and He is building a new temple, the church, that will be prepared for His Second Coming.

Gary Petty is a 1978 graduate of Ambassador College with a BS in mass communications. He worked for six years in radio in Pennsylvania and Texas. He was ordained a minister in 1984 and has served congregations in Longview and Houston Texas; Rockford, Illinois; Janesville and Beloit, Wisconsin; and San Antonio, Austin and Waco, Texas. He presently pastors United Church of God congregations in Nashville, Murfreesboro and Jackson, Tennessee.
