Greek culture formed much of our culture, today, such as, democracy, economics, alphabet, music, art, literature, education systems, and athletics. This “Hellenization” (teaching the Greek culture) followed Alexander the Great as he conquered the Persian Empire. As the conquered people accepted the Greek culture, Judaism and the New Testament Church were also influenced with certain belief systems rooted in Greek philosophy and mythology. Paul and other Apostles were continually correcting the heresies that developed within various congregations.
