In Acts, we see the early church described as being in "one accord"
frequently at the beginning of the account. But persecutions arose, then
disputes and debates developed within the church as people started
splitting off and teaching new things. Paul and other apostles began
writing letters at this time, urging people to believe and teach the
same thing. Though a church in full agreement seems near impossible now,
we should still strive to obey God, stir up His holy spirit inside us,
and do our part to be a church of one accord.
