Sabbath School

Public

Dear Parents,

As the Feast is fast approaching, we would like to reach out to all of you who have children that will attend Sabbath school at the Feast in Galveston.

This year we will have only one (1) class on Monday, October 2nd. The theme for our class will be Matthew 5:16, let your light shine before others.

Since we are only having one (1) Sabbath school class, we would like to do something special for the Sabbath school children.   Every day, until Friday, Oct 6th, we will have a Sabbath school table set up near the information table from which the children can come by and pick up a paper that relates to our topic of letting your light shine. The first paper will be a coloring page given to them on the day of their lesson.  If they finish each daily paper they pick up, and if they return it to the table the next day, they will receive a prize and another paper to complete.

If possible, please bring a glue stick, scissors, markers/crayons to the Feast for these projects to do at your condo/hotel. If not possible we will have some available at the sabbath school table.  The children do not need to bring their supplies to the class, we will have what is needed for the craft projects.

Also, for Galveston only, we have added a 3rd song for the Children’s choir.  In addition to the 2 songs the Home Office sent out, we will be adding a short "This Little Light of Mine" song to emphasize our Sabbath school theme.  It is a little over a minute long. We have attached the Youtube video to help with learning the song. We will be giving the children little flashlights they can wave as they sing the song. The Children’s choir is singing on Tuesday October 3rd.

We are including links to the 2 songs already sent out by the Home Office, and a link to the video for the 3rd song.
